Tai Chi Workshops

For the full calendar of workshops as well as regular classes, see the calendar below or go to the Events Calendar.

Discover the mindful art of movement through our Tai Chi workshops — an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with your body, and experience the deep sense of calm that comes from moving with awareness.

Each workshop lasts three hours, offering time to learn, explore, and practise at a relaxed pace. We begin with a gentle Qigong warm-up to release tension and awaken the body, followed by step-by-step instruction in the Tai Chi form. The session concludes with a brief guided meditation, and time to relax over warming tea and healthy treats.

Whether you’re new to Tai Chi or looking to deepen your practice, each workshop provides a nurturing space to move, breathe, and restore balance.

The Benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong

Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi unites body and mind through slow, flowing movements. Regular practice of Tai Chi and Qigong can:

  • Improve balance, coordination, and flexibility
  • Enhance posture and core strength
  • Reduce stress and calm the nervous system
  • Support heart health and circulation
  • Improve focus, clarity, and emotional resilience
  • Boost energy, immunity, and overall wellbeing

Gentle yet powerful, Tai Chi is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. It can be practised standing or seated, and its benefits extend far beyond the physical — helping you feel grounded, centred, and at peace.
