Ever feel unsafe walking through a car park at night? Not sure how to defend yourself against unwanted attention or advances? Learn self-defence and breathing techniques which can equip you with the skills to protect yourself, and to help you feel empowered and more in control.

The Yin & Yang Approach

This workshop blends the yin (gentle, receptive energy) and yang (active, assertive energy) to create harmony within. Together, we’ll explore how these complementary forces can work together to empower you—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Join us and experience the powerful fusion of strength and serenity. Leave feeling empowered, peaceful, and ready to take on whatever life brings your way. There’s no need for previous experience.

Self-Defence with Confidence

Learn practical, easy-to-remember techniques to protect yourself in any situation. Our expert instructor will guide you through simple, effective moves that build your self-confidence, coordination, and physical awareness. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, you’ll leave feeling more capable and ready to face the world around you.

Inner Peace through Mindfulness

In addition to physical techniques, we’ll introduce mindfulness practices that help you stay calm, centred, and grounded in moments of stress. Explore the principles of inner peace through breathing exercises, qigong moving meditation, and self-awareness practices that help you remain balanced and calm, both inside and out.

About the Instructors:

Gisela Bajer-Pink

With over a decade of dedicated training, Gisela Bajer-Pink is a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Tang Soo Do Karate, a traditional martial art focused on discipline, strength, and balance. Her journey in martial arts has not only honed her physical abilities but has also instilled a deep sense of resilience, mindfulness, and respect. Gisela is a certified instructor with the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA). She trains and teaches regularly where she strives to empower others through self-defence and personal growth. Her passion lies in helping individuals discover their inner strength and confidence, fostering both physical and mental well-being through martial arts and coaching.

Alissa Powell

With several years of clinical and teaching experience, Alissa is deeply passionate about helping individuals maintain healthy, calm, and balanced lives. As a certified breathwork instructor, Reiki practitioner, and Qigong teacher, she integrates traditional healing practices with modern techniques to support her clients in cultivating both physical vitality and emotional serenity. Alissa’s work focuses on calming the nervous system, restoring energy flow, and empowering individuals to reconnect with their bodies and minds. She believes in the profound power of breath, energy, and mindful movement to enhance well-being, reduce stress, and promote inner peace.


18 years old and over please. Must be able to stand for 2 hours.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds minus administration fee of £3 per ticket up to 7 days prior. Cancellations 1-6 days prior to event incur a 50% fee. No refunds within 24 hours of event.
