Tai Chi Qigong Workshop – 8 Form

Join instructors Alissa Powell and Bridget Morris for a revitalising 3-hour Tai Chi Qigong workshop in beautiful, historic Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds designed to restore balance, build vitality, and calm the mind. This uplifting session is perfect for anyone seeking gentle movement, stress relief, and a deeper mind-body connection.

The workshop begins with a flowing Qigong warm-up led by Alissa to awaken the body, release tension, and settle the breath. From there, you’ll receive step-by-step guidance from Bridget in the Yang Style 8 Form— a graceful and accessible Tai Chi sequence known for improving posture, mobility, and inner focus. With its simplicity and meditative rhythm, this form is ideal for beginners yet still deeply rewarding for those with experience.

To close the practice, you’ll be guided through a relaxing meditation, allowing the benefits of calm breathing and gentle movement to integrate. Afterwards, enjoy a cup of soothing herbal tea and delicious homemade healthy treats in good company.

About the 8 Form

The Yang Style 8 Form is a beautifully balanced Tai Chi sequence that, once learned, can be practised in just three and a half minutes — making it ideal for daily practice. The 8 Form is straightforward to follow, though it includes a few changes in direction, so it’s best suited to those with some Tai Chi experience.

Whether you’re fairly new to Tai Chi or looking to deepen your practice, this workshop offers a warm, welcoming space to move, breathe, and reconnect. By learning the 8 Form, you’ll discover a graceful flow you can continue at home to support balance, vitality, and overall wellbeing.
