Taught by Deyin Institute–trained instructor Alissa Powell, each workshop blends clear instruction, mindful pacing, and a friendly atmosphere that makes Tai Chi accessible and enjoyable to learn.
Yang Style 8 Form/8 Movements
The Yang Style 8 Form is a beautifully accessible short sequence that distils the essence of traditional Tai Chi into eight flowing movements, making it perfect for beginners and deeply nourishing for experienced practitioners. This gentle form emphasises relaxed, grounded stances, smooth weight-shifting, and mindful breath, helping you cultivate balance, coordination, and inner calm. Each movement is practised slowly and intentionally, allowing you to connect with your body, quiet the mind, and experience the meditative quality that Tai Chi is known for. It’s an ideal introduction for anyone curious about Tai Chi or looking to enrich their wellbeing through a graceful, restorative practice.
