Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned practitioner\, Qigong (roughly pronounced ”Chi Gung” or ”Chi Gong”) offers profound benefits for stress reduction\, energy enhancement\, and overall well-being. \nClass description:\nClass is 60 minutes and comprise: \n\n Qigong-style warm up and exercises (standing and seated options will be taught)\n Seated breathing exercises\n Seated mindful meditation\n\nClasses are a mix of styles including Qigong (rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and philosophy)\, Pranayama (ancient breath techniques originating from yogic practices in India)\, and Meditation (primarily a combination of mindfulness and passage meditation). \nWho should attend:\nClasses are open to all levels of experience and physical abilities as various options will be given for each exercise. Exercises may be done standing or seated. Absolute beginners welcome! \nAges 16 and older please\n \nTickets:\nPurchasing a ticket using the link below (or CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE A TICKET) guarantees a space. Tickets will also be available on the door if the class isn’t sold out in advance. Cash or card accepted. \nClass size is limited – it is recommended you purchase a ticket in advance to avoid disappointment. \nClass is also available to attend live via ZOOM. Each session includes a gentle full-body warm-up\, flowing qigong exercises\, and step-by-step instruction Tai Chi movements — ideal for beginners as well as those wishing to deepen their existing practice. \nThis class offers a welcoming\, supportive environment where you can build confidence\, release tension\, and discover the many benefits of mindful movement. \nAbout Qigong and Tai Chi\nQigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) combines gentle movement\, breath\, and focused intention to cultivate and balance your body’s energy\, or qi (“chee”). It’s a centuries-old practice known for promoting relaxation\, vitality\, balance\, and inner calm. \nTai Chi evolved from qigong and traditional martial arts. Often described as “meditation in motion\,” Tai Chi involves a sequence of slow\, flowing movements that enhance coordination\, flexibility\, balance\, and focus. \nHealth Benefits\nRegular practice of qigong and Tai Chi has been shown to: \n\n→ Improve balance and stability\n→ Increase flexibility and joint mobility\n→ Support better posture and body awareness\n→ Calm the mind and reduce stress\n→ Boost circulation and overall wellbeing\n\nThese practices are gentle yet powerful ways to care for both body and mind — suitable for all ages and fitness levels. \n\nTickets\nTickets may be purchased in advance for £10pp. Walk-ins will be accepted only if there is capacity. \n>> BOOK YOUR TICKET <<\nWaitlist\nIf the class is sold out and you would like to add your name to a waitlist\, please send me an email. \n\nClass Details\nTuesdays\, 10am–11am (please arrive 5 minutes early)\nParochial Hall\, 28 High Street\, Kenilworth CV8 1LZ \nParking is free for two hours at the nearby Abbey Fields car park. You must obtain a ticket from the machine and display it\, or you risk a fine. Take the walking path to the left of the church towards the High Street. The hall is diagonally across the High Street to the right\, approximately a two-minute walk from the car park. \nPlease wear comfortable clothing. It is recommended to wear flat-soled trainers\, tai chi shoes\, bare feet\, or non-slip socks. Please also bring a water bottle. \nThere are plenty of chairs available if needed.
