SUMMARY:Tai Chi Qigong Class (beginners)
DESCRIPTION:Weekly Beginners Tai Chi Qigong Class\n\n\n\nTickets\nTickets may be purchased in advance for £10 per person. Walk-ins will be accepted only if there is capacity. \n>> BOOK YOUR TICKET <<\nInterested in doing both this class AND the 11.15-12.15 Traditional Tai Chi class?\nDO NOT book a ticket to either. Email me and I will register you for both with the discount.\n>> Register me for BOTH sessions <<\nI will invoice you for £15 (total for the two classes) and upon payment you will be guaranteed a space.\nClasses must be attended on the same day. \n  \n\nJoin me for a weekly Tai Chi Qigong class in Kenilworth\, designed to help you move with greater ease\, improve balance and body awareness\, release tension\, and cultivate a greater sense of calm. \nThis is a gentle\, welcoming class suitable for complete beginners as well as those with previous experience. You don’t need to be fit\, flexible or familiar with Tai Chi to join us. \nEach session begins with a gentle full-body warm-up\, followed by flowing health qigong exercises to encourage mobility\, relaxation and awareness of the body. We then move into beginner-friendly Tai Chi instruction\, learning movements progressively and at a comfortable pace. \nThe class finishes with calming qigong and light breathwork\, giving you time to settle\, relax and integrate the practice before you leave. \n\nWhat to Expect\nThe emphasis in this class is on health\, wellbeing and mindful movement\, rather than learning a complete traditional Tai Chi form. \nYou can expect a combination of: \n\n→ Gentle mobility and warm-up exercises\n→ Health-focused qigong\n→ Beginner Tai Chi movements\n→ Balance and coordination exercises\n→ Mindful movement and body awareness\n→ Calming qigong\n→ Light breathwork and relaxation\n\nMovements can be adapted to suit different abilities\, and you are welcome to practise seated if preferred or needed. There are plenty of chairs available in the hall. \n\nAbout Qigong and Tai Chi\nQigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) combines gentle movement\, breath and focused attention. Traditional qigong practices are designed to cultivate and regulate qi (“chee”)\, often translated as vital energy. The practices can encourage relaxation\, body awareness\, ease of movement and a sense of inner calm. \nTai Chi evolved from qigong and traditional Chinese martial arts. Often described as “meditation in motion”\, it uses slow\, flowing movements to develop coordination\, balance\, mobility\, focus and awareness. \nThe Benefits of Regular Practice\nRegular Tai Chi and qigong practice may help to: \n\n→ Improve balance and stability\n→ Support flexibility and joint mobility\n→ Develop coordination and body awareness\n→ Encourage better posture\n→ Reduce physical tension and promote relaxation\n→ Calm the mind and support stress management\n→ Encourage gentle\, enjoyable movement\n→ Support overall wellbeing\n\nThe practices are gentle but can be surprisingly powerful. You don’t need to be athletic or flexible to benefit. \nIs This Class Right for Me?\nThis class is particularly suited to you if you: \n\n→ Are completely new to Tai Chi or qigong\n→ Want a gentle introduction to Tai Chi\n→ Prefer a relaxed\, health-focused approach\n→ Would like to improve balance\, mobility and body awareness\n→ Want to incorporate more mindful movement into your week\n→ Already practise Tai Chi or qigong and would like a gentle weekly session\n→ Prefer the option of practising seated\n\nIf you are looking for more traditional Tai Chi form work\, you may prefer my second Tuesday class\, which runs from 11.15am–12.15pm and places greater emphasis on traditional Tai Chi movements\, stances\, walking and forms. \n\nClass Details\nTuesdays\, 10am–11am\nPlease arrive 5 minutes early. \nSt Nicholas Church Parochial Hall\n28 High Street\, Kenilworth\nCV8 1LZ \nParking is free for two hours at the nearby Abbey Fields car park. You must obtain a ticket from the machine and display it\, or you risk a fine. Take the walking path to the left of the church towards the High Street. The hall is diagonally across the High Street to the right\, approximately a two-minute walk from the car park. \nWhat to wear/bring\nPlease wear comfortable clothing. Flat-soled trainers\, Tai Chi shoes\, bare feet or non-slip socks are recommended. Please also bring a water bottle. \nThere are plenty of chairs available if needed.

SUMMARY:Traditional Tai Chi Class (beginners)
DESCRIPTION:Weekly Beginners Traditional Tai Chi Class\n\nTickets\nTickets may be purchased in advance for £10 per person. Walk-ins will be accepted only if there is capacity. \nIf you would like to attend both Tuesday classes\, you can attend both for £15. \n>> BOOK YOUR TICKET <<\nInterested in doing both this class AND the 10-11am Tai Chi Qigong Class?\nDO NOT book a ticket to either. Email me and I will register you for both with the discount.\n>> Register me for BOTH sessions <<\nI will invoice you for £15 (total for the two classes) and upon payment you will be guaranteed a space.\nClasses must be attended on the same day. \n  \n\nIf you’d like to explore the traditional practice of Tai Chi\, join me for a weekly class in Kenilworth focusing on Tai Chi forms\, stances\, stepping and the principles underlying the practice. \nThis class is suitable for beginners as well as those with previous Tai Chi experience. You don’t need to have learnt a Tai Chi form before. Movements are introduced progressively\, giving you the opportunity to learn at your own pace while developing a deeper understanding of the practice. \nWhile the earlier Tuesday class has a stronger emphasis on health qigong\, relaxation and gentle Tai Chi movement\, this class is more focused on traditional Tai Chi practice. \n\nWhat We May Explore\nThe content will develop over time\, but sessions may include: \n\n→ Yang Style 8 Form\n→ Traditional Tai Chi stances\n→ Tai Chi walking and stepping\n→ Weight shifting and balance\n→ Alignment and posture\n→ Coordination of the upper and lower body\n→ Developing softness\, stability and controlled movement\n→ Learning and refining Tai Chi sequences\n→ Exploring the principles behind the movements\n\nThe aim isn’t simply to memorise a sequence of movements. As you become familiar with the forms\, we can begin to explore how the movements are performed\, how the body connects and moves as a whole\, and the principles that make Tai Chi different from ordinary exercise. \n\nBeginners Are Welcome\nYou don’t need previous experience to join this class. \nIf you’re completely new to Tai Chi\, you’ll be guided through the movements step by step. If you already have some experience\, the class provides an opportunity to refine your technique\, revisit foundational principles and deepen your understanding. \nTai Chi is a practice that can continue to develop over many years. There is always more to explore\, whether you’re learning your first form or refining movements you’ve practised many times. \n\nWhat to Expect\nEach class begins with a gentle warm-up to prepare the body for movement. We then focus on traditional Tai Chi practice\, with the content varying from week to week according to what we’re learning and developing. \nSessions may involve learning or practising a form\, working on individual movements and stances\, exploring Tai Chi walking\, or spending time refining particular aspects of the practice. \nWe finish with a short qigong practice\, providing an opportunity to slow down\, settle the body and finish the session feeling grounded. \n\nAbout Tai Chi\nTai Chi\, or Taijiquan\, is a traditional Chinese martial art that has evolved into a widely practised form of mindful movement. Its slow\, controlled movements develop coordination\, balance\, body awareness and relaxation while introducing the principles of traditional Tai Chi. \nAlthough the movements are performed slowly\, Tai Chi is not simply about moving slowly. With regular practice\, you begin to develop greater awareness of weight\, alignment\, balance\, connection and efficient movement. \n\nIs This Class Right for Me?\nThis class may be particularly suited to you if you: \n\n→ Are curious about the traditional practice of Tai Chi\n→ Want to learn a Tai Chi form\n→ Would like to learn Yang Style 8 Form\n→ Want to understand Tai Chi stances and stepping\n→ Already practise Tai Chi and want to deepen your understanding\n→ Enjoy learning physical skills progressively\n→ Would like to develop greater balance\, coordination and body awareness\n\nBeginners are very welcome. You don’t need to choose between being a beginner and being interested in traditional Tai Chi. The practice starts where you are and develops from there. \nIf you’d prefer a gentler class with a greater emphasis on qigong\, relaxation and health-focused movement\, my 10–11am Beginners Tai Chi Qigong class may be a better fit. You are also welcome to attend both classes if you’d like to explore both approaches. \n\n\n\nWaitlist\nIf the class is sold out and you would like to add your name to the waitlist\, please send me an email. \n\nClass Details\nTuesdays\, 11.15am–12.15pm\nPlease arrive 5 minutes early. Please wait outside of the room if the previous class is still in progress. \nPlease wear comfortable clothing.

SUMMARY:Beginners Traditional Tai Chi Class
\nSt Nicholas Church Parochial Hall\n28 High Street\, Kenilworth\nCV8 1LZ \nParking is free for two hours at the nearby Abbey Fields car park.

SUMMARY:Beginners Traditional Tai Chi Class
\nSt Nicholas Church Parochial Hall\n28 High Street\, Kenilworth\nCV8 1LZ \nParking is free for two hours at the nearby Abbey Fields car park. SUMMARY:Beginners Traditional Tai Chi Class
\nPlease wear comfortable clothing.
